BIF support allows Roku clients to show thumbnails when fast-forwarding or rewinding.
An existing solution as an addon but it requires a special client on Roku to play it. The server already exists and seems to be platform-independent. With this built into PMS itself, it would be a much more complete experience on the ever-popular Roku client.

The workaround is good but requires tinkering. Plus if there is a major overhaul of the official Roku Plex channel the modified channel runs the risk of no longer being compatible with PMS.
I've read that the Plex team would like something that addresses more than just the Roku crowd. It would be nice if this was thrown in for testing while another version was developed for more clients.
Looks like it good included in the current PlexPass release on the server side. I assume that you simply re-analyze media with the flag turned on.
Will this spread to other clients, besides the roku?
