This is an absolutely crucial feature that needs to be implemented
I also wish for this feature. It’s standard on YouTube and every podcast I listen to. It’s needed on at least Plex Web and Mobile at a minimum. A lot of movies and TV I watch, I want to watch a little faster.

It’s insane that playback speed has been requested so long without even being acknowledged by the Plex team.
A friend needs to watch at half speed due to a medical condition. Even Netflix has that now.

I think Plex should at the very least respond to this request and provide us some updates. Some people have been waiting for 7 years for this.

I can’t believe it has taken me this long to find this thread and add my voice to the void. Feature request has been around as long as I’ve been using Plex o.O
I’ve finally been able to test this feature out with Emby for a few weeks. Worth noting that it looks like it doesn’t work with Roku. I’ve used it on my iPhone and on my Nvidia Shield. It works great, and I’ve had no issues with it at all. I’m very impressed with how Emby handled it.

That’s one of the best things I often use in Windows Media Player. Definitely should be in Plex.
7 years? I see this isn’t going to happen. Any alternative to plex have this?

I wish they’d at least tag it as infeasible or something they don’t plan on doing instead of just letting it languish.

I actually posted about it just 3 posts above your post. It works great, and I can’t imagine life without it. I’d much rather use Plex, but it’s honestly been a game changer.
