Wait WHAT! Even netflix have this feature built in now!? Damn Plex is seriously looking more and more like a dinasuar of a media player.

Need for Speed… Please… Certain shows/movies can only be watched at 2x if not 1.5x.
Bumping is no good and not contributing to the suggestion.
Ignoring feedback is not a good way to run a company and will contribute to angry customers.
Plex can very easily make this right and avoid my daily bump

If I could give more votes to this I would. I have used work-a-rounds, but you can’t use them on tablet or TV. I have disabled most of the new features they have pushed down.
I got a Plex gold pass, so I can’t cancel. I’ll buy another if they implement this.

This is such an important feature I don’t understand how it is still not implemented!
Web player can be solved by installing extensions, but the Anfroid mobile app has no such mitigation strategy.
Please stop deleting my requests for this feature.

You have been told already that this is not considered proper behavior.
And I don’t consider ignoring a feature request for a decade or silently deleting people’s comments to be proper behavior yet here we are.

Hi everyone! I am getting ready to drop a reply in the Fireside in the Forums conversation as well, but wanted to give a little bit more details response here.
The good news to convey is that we are adding this to the roadmap to start working on. This is a topic that has bounced around a bit internally here and we have made some fits and starts, but it is time to get down to business and solve some of the outstanding challenges that have roadblocked this before. To be honest - the challenges haven’t really been technical, they have been more on the prioritization and resourcing side of things. It isn’t a fun message to sit here and write, but we are making a serious effort to rebuild some trust and get in and engage with all of you and I don’t feel like we are doing that right unless we own up to it and be honest here. I don’t have a timeline to provide at the moment, but we are going to tackle this and provide updates as we go.

Absolutely ridiculous that Plex does not have playback speed feature.
Even the worst of the worst web players have playback speed.
I use the Windows HTPC Plex application for the most part. Please implement this mandatory feature.
I love Plex outside of the lack of this feature, but it’s getting to the point where this is such an important feature for me to have that I will have to use a different media player if it’s not implemented soon.
