+1 With the current release of iOS this shouldn’t be a problem, right? My Podcast app can also download new episodes over night. Not very fast, but that doesn’t matter at nighttime.
A working background refresh would make Plex Sync rather magical imo as the whole syncing process would be automated then.
I haven’t tried it yet, but was going to for out vacation in may. im more than surprised to read this feature is not implemented. I also thought that i select the movies and in the morning everything is there.
+1 Also push notifications when the download has errored or completed. I keep leaving it running only to find that it stalled or errored or just stopped for no reason.
Lack of reliable sync is the only thing preventing me from getting a plex pass for life
Where do we stand on this now in 2018 ? I set a show to sync new unwatched episodes and I know it was added to my library last night, this morning I woke up to see if I would automatically see it on my sync’d section but it wasn’t complete said it was at 50 percent. I believe when I woke up and look at my phone and took it out of sleep, the app woke up and started the sync and I left the house before it could complete. Not too sure about my theory, I’ll test some more but it would really be great if I didn’t need to touch the app or even the phone every night before I go to bed. I’d like to open the app up on the train and see all my stuff magically there waiting to be watched offline.
The subject is marked as [Implemented], but this is not. Reminder: If you want the Plex devs to prioritize it, you must like the first post. Typing +1 in some other comment does not help.
