It’s worth noting that a big change like would be required for this sort of feature will likely go out as a Beta release first. Android users can request to join the beta. Beta for Windows/Windows Phone isn’t open anymore, but anyone who already has beta access would be fine. Keep in mind, of course, that they would be beta releases, so you should expect there might be more issues/instability than with a regular release.

Seems like this thread should be closed and a new one just for playlist sharing should be started (but thats just my thought)

Thank you, Plex devs!!! The playlist syncing is working great for offline (I live in a fringe 4G area, and couldn’t use my Plex music at the gym without this). Being able to create a playlist from Plex Mix, save it, and sync it just made my life significantly better!
I don’t get it. Is this in the Beta? I still don’t have the functionality.
Unless I am missing something I can see no difference at all with what I can and can not do with this either.
I have not looked to see if you can sync a playlist from the Android client itself, but the option is there in the web interface (assuming you are on and up to day media server/web client).
yes you can sync a Playlist from right within the Android app… works very well.

Recently was released publically, I think it’s still rolling out though.

I just tested on an iPad running latest PMP app while my PMS is the current version running on a Windows 7 box with my files located on multiple NAS devices. I sign-on to Plex from the iPad and I can not see any playlist that my sign-on did not create only see the ones I created. If this is the new version then what does the word “share” supposed to mean?
Just received an automatic update last night that included “sync improvements” but still no playlists sync. Does Plex even read these requests?

Version 5.0 and newer of the Android app support our newer sync tech, which includes the ability to sync playlists. So, “playlist syncing” is absolutely supported in v5.0+ of the Android app. (You can initiate the playlist sync either via the web app or Android app.) If you have issues with that, please go post in our Android app forum, as this thread is not appropriate for tech support.

Sharing wasn’t added. Syncing for Android devices was added. I’ve long had this issue with this specific feature request thread because it’s asking for two completely different things in the same request. Still need sharing playlists.
Just a quick message to thank the Plex team for the sync functionality they recently added on Android. It work just perfectly.
