Never heard of Cinema Experience add-on (for xbmc) before today but looked it up and yes i agree it pretty much sums up exactly what this forum is requesting. I wonder if porting an addon from xbmc to plex is a massive task? either via addon or native to plex i would love to see these features added.

We want trailer support in PMS.
After this this kind of addon in PHT could be done but this is about much more basic support; in movie details, have the option to play local or online trailer along with playing the actual movie. After clients and addons could use this from PMS API to do whatever it wants/needs using those trailers from the movie database in PMS.
Well, that's how see it anyway. The only one that got close is RARflix that does online trailers using Youtube but the best IMO is to standardise this from PMS (like everything should IMO)
Comparing to XBMC would not be Cinema Experience but more like its basic trailer support (local from "(moviefilename)-trailer.ext" or the online trailer from NFO file)
But don't get me wrong, Cinema Experience is pretty nice but let's hope for basic trailer support first (it's taking so much time for Plex to implement this feature already...)
I see your point and agree i'd love to see basic trailer support added if it means we get it sooner but as a whole the cinema experience add-on has a nice set of feature which would work well if added to plex. I too would prefer built in support so it would work multi-platform and be supported by the plex team but again if it means getting something sooner, i'd take an add-on app.
Some movie trailers are artwork in themselves… like the Zodiac trailer for which they made a CG foggy San Francisco bridge, which found its way into the film’s final cut… So Plex making available a trailer (from trailers.apple.com) for example in the Play Screen would be fantastic, also if your guests first need a taste.
Unless the feature is unclear, there is no need for the devs to reply. And there is in no way that this feature is unclear.
And yes, several of the feature requests in this sub forum has been developed and released during the last 2 years ("Now playing", "Mulit user mode", "Offline mobile access", "PlayQueue", and several others are done after requests in here).

First, Ever hear the adage "No News is Bad News".
Second, I really hope more than just the Devs are listening. This is feedback for the entire product and community driven innovation. Dev's are awesome, but I'd hope the company is listening.
I can count off numerous companies who have opened forums to get feedback, and then basically gone dark with no formal reply on any topic. The community dies down and basically doesn't offer the thing that the company wanted in the first place "True Feedback". Instead the forums become just a b* session for people to air their frustration.
Instead which I've only seen a few companies do, and the results are so vastly different, that I can argue the prior example is a failure exercise. When a company actually responds and interacts with the community, keeping them up to date on what's going on - almost to the point of full transparency, the entire reason around getting feedback is almost forgotten as an entire relationship with the company and community is formed.
Having forums isn't just a place for existing members -- however well decorated -- to stifle the communication between communities and the company ( not just Devs )

You misunderstand me. I am referring to this particular subforum. Check the post count of Elan, Jam, Chris C, Tobias Hieta (and the others) and you will see that they have the highest post count of all (with the exception of one or two of us Ninjas). They are a lot in the forums. But Plex has for 6 (!) years been saying the same thing: "We do not comment on future features." They have however created this subforum which they have promised to look at when planning future features. It gives them a direction when they see which features that are voted the most on.
i have used for years yamj on a pch box and the scraper automatic find a youtube link to a trailer and put a button on the detail page of a movie to the mp4 trailer file on youtube. it was a gret feature. i migrate to plex and i miss this feature.
