[Implemented] Trailer Support

I would like to have a setting to be able to play a specific clib before each movie, e.g. the dancing popcorn clip that played in the beginning of old movies, still does at some drive-ins.

I really like the ideas of a THX clip and\or a special Plex themed feature presentation clip.

YES... I have a THX clip and would love if something like that and a silence your cellphones flick was able to be forced before each feature film.

Thank you for trailers, Plex! And the extras are an amazing bonus, too

Trailers don’t work for me so…

Excellently, you can do this right now.

If you create a playlist for each movie you want to watch, you can add the dancing popcorn, or THX (or anything else you have access to) right before the movie.

How do we use the new features? I can't see anything new in my software.

Don’t worry about it… It doesn’t work anyway.

Cheers!

It does work. Check this page for more info

Hahahaha haha.... Well I guess because there is a write up on the Internet..... Then it must be true.

How are these trailers selected?  I played the movie 2 Guns and got the trailer for You've Got Mail lol!  Something is way off.

The trailers based on your unwatched items are selected from the first two genres on the item you went to play.  The cinema mode trailers are selected randomly from among the list you select.  So it's possible both of those films are labeled as "comedy," or some other overlap that is not totally obvious.

i dont have this problem.

but what my problem is: localized trailers ... :(

These should work in general, but the logic for selecting them from the ones available from our provider may need some tweaks.  I'll take a look.

Fair enough but how about:

Don't feed the trolls  ;)

So because I’m a pissed off paid customer I’m a troll… Haha… Well

If these features are rolled out as advertised then I wouldn’t have problems… But many of us are paying for junk.

So if I’m a troll… Your a fanboy…

That’s fine I’m still a pissed off customer riding out my year subscription

Well I wanted to provide information to Scottbee and now he has the page to refer to and the proof that it does indeed work properly so the troll can go back under its bridge

If you're unhappy, please feel free to email plexpass@plexapp.com and request a refund.

Did that… And also unhappy with that result

Well… Couple screens shots must be for everyone’s machines

Did that... And also unhappy with that result

Can you explain this further? We happily give refunds to people who ask us nicely for them :)

Last update is awesome with cinema trailer support and works great!

But it in my opnion it would also be nice if it is possible to select specific genres of upcoming theather releases and/or play upcoming cinema trailers based on the movie you are going to watch.

Thank you so much for this feature, but those who do not speak English can not view the trailers in their languages (there is no subtitle either). It's a shame ...

Quick question.. In the new HomeTheater - I figured out how to load the trailers (Go to Preference > Playback > last option Extras > Number of cinema trailers before Movies)

How do I play EXTRAS? Is there a way to view the available extras in Home Theater? They are there for plex web and easily clickable.
