Improved Auto Selection of Audio and Subtitles languages for those who prefer the original native language

Seen it requested numerous times over the years in other forums, but not the features one. Basically for Anime and some other content, some of us would prefer to watch it in the native language, with subtitles for our preferred language. Unfortunately the files and other metadata doesn’t currently indicate this, but it’d be nice if Plex had some way to still work around this.

Basic goal:
Ability to make all content in one library play with a specific native language audio if available, and with subtitles for preferred language. This could be achieved on a global manner if you could specify a “preferred native language” for audio, which gets selected by default, but is still considered “foreign audio” for the “Shown with foreign audio” selection.

Be even better if you could:

  1. Native language for a library.
  2. Per-account option to specify “prefer native audio language”, which will use library’s defined native language instead of your preferred audio language if available, and will still consider it foreign audio.

This would let users who still want to watch it with non-native audio the option to keep that default, but prefer those who want the native language to be able to easily set that, without having to go and update the audio settings for every single episode. Something that’s particularly painful if you forgot to do so before synchronizing to a mobile device.
