This is the first time I have run into this issue and I have a very large library of TV shows 28000 plus episodes and almost 400 series. I just added the Jetsons and for some reason the second season episode count only displays 36 episodes. It is clear that Plex has actually found the episodes since there is metadata for all 41 episodes. The TVDB also has 41 episodes listed for the second season and again it’s not like Plex doesn’t recognize the episodes and hasn’t downloaded metadata for all 41 of them including episode summaries and pictures from the TVDB.
Just curious if anyone might know why the count would be off. Oh just to get this out of the way I am not talking about the play count in the season poster I am referring to the episode count listed under each season.

The top number shows the total count of unwatched episodes(as you already know) and the bottom shows the total count of episodes you have for that season.
And this is what you get when you drill into season 02…
Yep mine should look like that but doesn’t I finally gave up on it and removed the series from the directory let plex discover that and then ran trough the 3 database cleanup steps and put the series back in and now it seems to be fine. All episodes listed as before only now with the correct count of unplayed as well as total count under the season cover just like your picture.
Very strange with as many times that I have done this with the total episode count I’ve added this is the first time anything like that has ever happened. No big deal just glad it wasn’t something major resetting this thing from scratch would be know fun. I always make plenty of backups though because it takes way to long to get that much content back in there.
