Incorrectly Assigned Local Metadata

Installed Plex on a Raspberry Pi which is being set-up as a media server. Created a test library with a small quantity of music (5 artists/5 albums). When creating the library in Plex, the tagging of the music is very odd. All albums are listed under 1 artist of “various artists”. All 5 albums are assigned to a single album title vs the 5 album titles that should have been assigned. All of the music files (.wav) have correct metadata information included with them. I get the same result whether I have “prefer local metadata” chosen in settings or not. Thoughts?

Plex cannot read metadata from WAV files.
Folder structure is very important in Plex.
Sampler albums/compilations require you to distinguish between Track Artist and Album Artist.

Thanks Otto. I’ll just move on from Plex. I’m not looking to use Plex client, just need a dlna server to connect to my dedicated music streamer for music I have on local network. It’s not worth the hassle to set up folder structures when all the music already has properly structured metadata that other servers read without issue. Thanks again for the reply.
