So about 2 weeks ago, due to some kind of change which I haven’t been able to figure out, any device connecting to my Plex server on the same network is stuck with an indirect connection (and a 328p max quality). When connecting remotely using any method outside the home network, everything works flawlessly. My setup:
-Plex running in Docker on OpenMediaVault
-Edgerouter X with port 32400 forwarded on the server address Plex is running in
I’ve tried tweaking the network settings in plex, as well as changing DNS settings on the router, and so far nothing’s helped. Various screenshots of my setup:
One more thing I should probably mention is that when accessing the server in a web browser using the server address and port, all is well:
I’m truly and duly stumped on this one, and haven’t been able to make much use of the info on https://support.plex.tv/articles/206225077-how-to-use-secure-server-connections/ or from the previous topics with a similar issue. I’m sure I’m missing something obvious, but I just can’t figure out what it is this time.
