Hi-I am 100% new to the whole idea of Plex. I am using a Roku Streaming Media Stick, HDMI version. I know that they say that a TV antenna is needed. I have just an inexpensive Wal-Mart antenna. Will that work (I realize a cheaper antenna could result in receiving less channels)? As far as a tuner goes, will the tuner built into my Insignia TV’s work (they aren’t smart TV’s)? Can I use Plex on more than one TV for the same fee? Thanks for your help!
An antenna AND a tuner (something to tune into specific channels) is needed. You can not use the “tuner” inside of a TV. You can use Plex on as many devices / apps as you like.
See these articles for more information:
Plex Live TV requires a Plex Pass subscription.
Also, the mobile apps (phone, tablet) have a one minute timeout unless (a) you have a Plex Pass or (b) you pay a one time, in-app fee.
See Plex Free vs Paid for additional information.
Thank you both for your helpful replies!
