Instructions say to extract into the pi home directory.
Does this mean the home of the pi user as home/pi/?
Or the home directory of the pi (root user) as in /home? cause i cant extract to here.
home/pi/
When you extract it should create a folder named plexamp
You should never use root. It’s just bad practise and a potential security issue.
With current versions of Raspberry Pi OS, you are being asked during installation (or first startup?) for the name of your user.
Since Plexamp currently comes preconfigured for user pi, this is the most convenient choice to make.
Can confirm on install of new Raspberry Pi OS 64, whether it be with desktop or lite, i’ve tried both, part of install process it prompts you to create a user. If you create the user pi the installer will warn you that this is a common user name and you should use something else. But you can move forward with pi just accept the warning.
