Installed Plex Media Player looks exactly like Plex Media Server when I launch it??

Hello there.
Recently uninstalled PHT, downloaded Plex Media Player 64 bit version for Mac OS Sierra. Installed Plex Media Player and launched it…when I did it looked exactly like Plex Media Server, when I tied to go into settings to tweak a few things in the Audio and Video settings. No matter what I do I am getting the settings for Plex Media Server. I have doubled checked everything to make sure I have not installed Plex Media Server twice. The name in the grey toolbar on top of the app says Plex Media Player…so confused!!..what am I doing wrong. Am not a power user at all so please forgive my ignorance. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello OttoKerner, thank you for this information, it worked perfectly for me. I have one more question, when I go into audio setting I cannot find the advanced audio settings, I am attaching a screen shot of what I see when I go into audio settings, where can I find these settings?

They don’t exist anymore. Everything that was previously under ‘Advanced’ is now directly accessible under ‘Audio’.
