Installing PMS 1.9.1.4272 on CentOS 7

I was prompted to install PMS 1.9.1.4272 on CentOS 7 today, but it failed with Software Center saying that the file was not supported.

I ran a manual install with rpm -ivh command. and this is the last part of the response.

file /usr/lib/plexmediaserver/Plex Media Server Tests from install of plexmediaserver-1.9.1.4272-b207937f1.x86_64 conflicts with file from package plexmediaserver-1.9.0.4252-d07c1f408.x86_64

Here is my uname -a output. Any ideas on how I can resolve this issue?

When PMS is already installed , you want rpm -Uvh

On Centos, sudo yum install <filename.rpm> also works.

If that fails / issues conflict messages then your rpm db is damaged

As root

rpm --rebuilddb
rpmdb_verify Packages
