Installing SAS drive in dedicated Plex PC

I recently got my hands on a SAS drive. I would like to install it as an internal drive in my dedicated Plex Server PC (i5-8500 @ 3GHz, 32GB RAM, W10Pro) as a media storage drive. I currently have 2 5TB external drives that store my media content connected to the Plex Server PC. A bit of research has led me to believe that I’ll need a SAS controller connected to a PCI-E slot. A mini-SAS to SAS w/power breakout cable. The mini-SAS will connect to the SAS controller and one of the four SAS w/power connectors will connect to the SAS drive. I understand the drive will also need a power connection as well. This SAS controller card IBM H1110 was recommended. If this works, I plan on transferring all media content onto the SAS drive and using the 2 external 5TB drives to backup the SAS drive.

Can any of you server experts validate if this will work?

Thx in advance and Happ New Year !!!
