I just started to pay for Plex pass and love it. It’s missing a very few things to be perfect.
Who else is in to be able to launch Plex videos through voice assistants to Chromecast?
I want to be able to tell Siri on my iPhone “Plex Avatar on Chromecast” (or less attractively “Play Avatar with Plex on Chromecast”) .
And same stuff for Google Home/Assistant.
I think this would be a KILLER feature.
I agree, it would be cool if Plex supported more assistants next to Alexa, such as Siri! I guess the APIs have to be there too first, though, before Plex can integrate them.

I think Apple opened Siri’s API with iOS 10… and is about to open it even wider on June 5th…
and google ‘is planing / has opened up’ their APIs for other developers to integrate their Apps into the google assistant environment. There is even and plug-in for Plex that has started making use of it called Phlex, which allows you for example to tell your Google Assistant to play a certain item on a device like the chrome cast.
But it would be nice to see Plex adopted a native support of the Google Assistant.
Since I got a Google Home I’ve been hoping for this. Actually I’ve been hoping for this ever since Google redid their Home app to include feature content from major apps on the device like Youtube, Netflix, Twitch, etc. I’d love it if my Plex content would show there, kind of like how it does on the Nexus Player’s leanback UI.
Assistant integration would be icing on that cake.
