Interesting Audio bug with PHT on Linux

Hi,

 

I am having issues with PHT running on Kodibuntu/Celeron NUC (I had serious Issues with OpenElec so I switched.)

Kodibuntu works fine with Plex, except that I have some SD-files (xvid .avi / vbr mp3 stereo audio) that play perfectly on all clients I tried (Mac mini, iPhone, iPad, Nexus Tablet, Plex Web, Bravia Smart-TV, pleXBMC) except the Linux PHT.

Here audio is delayed by around 125 ms. Other files play fine, just some are delayed.

 

I have no idea how to work out what is the problem. Tried forced encoding, various audio-settings, everything I could think of.

 

Anyone has any idea?

I have had this same issue, it's actually a codec issue.  If you look at ones that work vs ones that dont work you will see.  I got around it by just remuxing the sd files into 264 files (same size)

I thought so, too…

But I do not have said issue with PHT on OS X or with other files using VBR mp3.

Is there any way to find out what happens exactly? Or to make the needed codec available to PHT on Linux?
