Interlaced VC-1 Support

I’m aware that ripped interlaced VC-1 files have often caused playback issues for various media players. I have the VC-1 codec for RPi2, but interlaced VC-1 files have significant playback problems (spotty/no audio, green blocks, etc.)

Are these issues related to the current build or does the board itself not have the power to direct play these files? Is there a solution in the works?

I don’t think Plex currently supports this format. See my feature request thread if you’d like to see this implemented - like the 1st post

I liked your post some time ago in fact! But Plex will transcode interlaced VC-1 now and also Direct Play it on capable hardware. My BD player will render interlaced VC-1 content via DLNA direct play because it has the horsepower. The question at hand is whether the RPi2 hardware can handle direct play of interlaced CC-1 or not. As it doesn’t seem to do so at present, I’m wondering if it’s an OpenELEC or ffmpeg problem, or whether the board itself isn’t capable of playing these files without transcode. Thanks for reaching out!
