Interlaced video (1080i) is stuttering during playback (Nvidia Shield)

Player Version#: Current Plex app for the Nvidia Shield (sorry, don’t know what version but it is up-to-date)

I have recently noticed that interlaced video has a noticeable stutter during playback on the Plex app for the Nvidia Shield. Stutter is something I can’t help but notice and so I think this is a new(ish) issue. Anyone else seeing this?

I’m experiencing this as well. I’m leaning towards it being a Shield problem rather than Plex.

If I tell the client to make the server transcode (via software - I don’t have hardware transcoding enabled) to 1080p/medium, the problem goes away, though the image isn’t quite as sharp.
