It has been asked before, but no harm in repeating it…
Out of the box we need the metadata agents to extract the Classification Rating for a Movie or TV Show based on the user’s location (or at least a preference).
For example the UK uses a different set of ratings to the US which relate, making the judging content for viewers difficult. For example, in the UK we have 15 and 18 ratings - in the US just R. Now a 15 rating is very different from an 18 movie, but with Plex we can’t tell the difference.
When I use to handbrake my movies and then store them in iTunes, I used a Mac App called iDentify and this got the UK ratings for the movies; so I know it can be done.
Please, please can we have this feature introduced?

I would like this feature as well. The R rating in the US is overused for some ridiculously mild movies.
+1 Really frustrating when content information is either in a different language or has the wrong ratings on it etc…
When it will be taken this into account? We are a lot of people from other countries that need use our native rating systems. Here for instance, in Spain, they are very different from those used in US.

No in my case. I keep seeing only US ratings.

This has long been implemented.
As long as the metadata sources Freebase or TheMovieDatabase have ratings for your country you can use them if you configure your metadata agents as following:
Arrange your agents under Freebase as shown in this screenshot.
Set the properties of the Freebase agent and TMDB agent as shown below
Use Freebase as primary agent for your movie library. Set the library language to your native language.
Movies that were previously matched with other metadata agents (XBMC .nfo etc.) are not necessarily updated with the new settings. You have to re-match them sometimes.
For a few select countries there are specialized metadata agents available like OFDB.de for Germany or DFI for Denmark and CinéPassion for France.
These are installable under Channels - Install Channels - More… - Metadata Agents
Wow, I guess it was just buried. I guess the updated requests are:
1. Show the correct rating icon, get no icon at all when set to a UK rating, e.g. 15
2. Allow localised ratings for TV shows.
Early 2021 clean-up: implemented (current generation Plex Movie agent)
