When moving media files, Plex starts detecting intros again. This seems like something that should be fixed.
Afaik when you move a file Plex detects it as a new file so it would start the process of file detection for metadata and any other supplemental information.
I would avoid moving files around and try to get a solid state for where files are stored to avoid wasting resources running scans multiple times.
Don’t move files - Copy them.
When Plex finds two of the same thing it shares between them - when that’s done and you have a ‘Blue 2’ - then you can remove the original.
There was never 2 files on the filesystem. All I did was rename the season folder from Season 1 to S01.
- ‘Season 01’ is the correct naming - ‘Season 1’ was closer.
- …as soon as you renamed the Season Folder all the files in it were - brand new.
Plex doesn’t like you messin’ with it’s TV Show Structure. That’ll get you called in to the Principal’s Office for a spanking with the Skip Intro Paddle.
