I’ve been trying to test Skip intro feature since day 1, and I don’t understand why my PMS doesn’t run Analyze.
When I start it, the animation dissapears in seconds, seems to be not even running…
Activity shows nothing, I’ve seen screenshots, where Activity showed the progress of detection of intros.
I’ve checked logs, and it shows, detection tried to find intros till 95% every time, and then it ended with “IntroDetector: Less than half of episodes have an intro. Clearing intros for [1070]”.
I don’t get it, I’ve started Analyze for 1 episode only…
No intros will be detected then.
You need to start Analyze for a Season
Intro detection works by comparing all episodes of a season, and then trying to find content which is identical among several episodes, and which is
within the first 10 minutes
which is longer than 30 seconds
If your season only has one episode, or if you are only analyzing one episode, no commonalities can be detected.
Should it be switched off?
I tried turning it off and then on. (typo)
Temporary folder should have enough space, but I continued the line of thought and ran a chmod 777 for the full plex home library. Now analyze seems to be running (though still nothing in Activity) will report later about results.
Shoot…“has identical audio content…” found the problem. Friends have hungarian dub, and hungarian translators have this habit, talking under the intro. Title of the episode, hungarian voice for the actors. Damn, I guess it won’t work for hungarian language tv shows…
