Whenever i try to grant access to someone who already has a Plex account, they don’t get the invite email and i don’t even see them at the bottom under pending invites.
I can try as many times a i want and it never works. Even sending a friend request just stays in pending forever. Only way i got it to work is them asking to be friends first and then once i accept them, i can grant them access

From app.plex.tv, the user is not in my list at all.
From the local web interface, i see them but they have access to nothing at all. If i try to give them access, i get an error saying Failed to update server shares.
Plex has a 100 friend limit. Did you hit that?
No. I was at 97 when i tried and now i am down to 76 and issue persists.
Narrowed down the issue to being that if it’s a user without a Plex account, it works just fine.
For an existing Plex user, you need to add them as a friend before you can grant them access.
Since you cannot grant access without being friends, Plex should just automatically do both when you do Grant Library Access.
Also, granting from the local Plex web works better than from app.plex.tv
Actually sharing with anybody is always a 2 step process of becoming friends and then accepting the share. Would you mind sending a sharing invite to me so I can check what is going on?
