iOS 15 playback stuttering

Trying to play some 4K HDR h.265 videos on my ipad and iphone, and notice there’s quite a lot of stuttering. The playback is like a 5 fps slideshow. I’m NOT using the build-in ‘old player’, but the plex’s own player. The device performance shouldn’t be an issue as I’m using the M1 ipad and A15 iphone 13 pro max.

On yes i should also mention I’m running iOS 15.

Anyone have the same issue? Or is there anything i can do to troubleshoot/fix this?

I have similar issue on my 10.5’ ipad pro. Feel like frame skipped. And I see stuttering issue even on .264 1080p content.
There was no problem at all on ios 14 when playing back 4K HDR. 265 content.

I expected same issues on iphone 12 pro max with ios 15
