iOS app downloads inconsistently transcode when using HEVC

Player Version#: 2025.15.0 (1053) on iPad8,10 running iOS 18.4.1

I have some media files that I transcoded outside of Plex to HEVC, and I can direct stream them fine. When I go to the individual episode page of the iOS app, it will download it directly just fine. But when I hit the download button on a whole season, it will transcode all the episodes.

I know that when I download an individual episode it does play fine, so I’m not sure why it would sometimes transcode and sometimes not. If I delete all the individual files and try to download the whole season, it transcodes episodes that downloaded and played in HEVC just fine individually.

Is there a fix for this I need to do, or is this a bug in the iOS app? Thanks.
