Me too. My iPhone 16 pro Max is transcoding EVERYTHING since I installed the 2025.13.0 update.
That other thread was about mpeg2video specifically so moved your post to this new one.
Can you please grab the app logs ( available in the “About” section of app settings) and your server logs after reproducing

Looks like a bug with HEVC content getting transcoded. I’m told this is fixed in a build that should be out sometime next week.
Possible subtitles may have an affect as well.
I have the issue as well.
Transcoding files instead of just download them…

Is there any update on this? It has been well over a week, I’m running the most recent version, and I’m still seeing HEVC files transcode when I download them, even though they should not.
