iOS player app crashes A LOT

I’m a lifetime Plex member and generally love what it does. However, on my iPhone SE 2020, the player app crashed many times per day doing basic things like choosing songs to play. Sometimes it will crash so fast, it takes 3x launching, navigating and hitting Play to get some songs going. Yesterday in the shower, it crashed while playing songs. I’ve tried updating both the client and server and haven’t seen a difference. I’ve Googled this topic and found articles from 2019 and 2021 that didn’t help.
