My internet isn’t great. It periodically drops and comes back. But I’ll start buffering a show in Plex and let it buffer WAY ahead to give me space for any flakiness. I’ve even buffered short shows 100%. But the second that flakiness happens, Plex announces “Can’t continue playback because the connection with your server was lost”, and kicks me out of watching the show. There was plenty of buffered video it could have continued playing, but it’s still forcing me out.
I’m guessing Plex is trying to report back to the server my location in the show, but I’d much rather be able to continue watching the downloaded/buffered content, than to just get booted out and have to start all over again. This is something Netflix/Youtube handle seamlessly.
Any way to workaround this? Can Plex please just fix this? ![]()
