Plexamp Request: More graceful handling of momentarily dropped connections

I connect/disconnect from VPNs a lot. Obviously this could impact any streaming player without some sort of buffering strategy, but in Plexamp’s case, it causes the music to just “freeze.” The only way to get playback going again is to quit and relaunch it.

Ideal scenario: Plexamp buffers enough to just keep playing along happily as long as the connection resumes in say, 20-30 seconds.
Workable: Plexamp stops, but when connection resumes, playback can be started easily.

We’ll be working on improving buffering; there actually is a retrying, seamless proxy already built in, so I’m actually curious to see what’s in your server log across the change. It’ll keep trying to reconnect and find a new connection for a fair amount of time.
