I just recently discovered that it’s possible to allow Plex clients to delete media files. I enabled that setting so I’d be able to delete tv shows from Plex on my iPhone or iPad.
However, the deletion process freezes Plex on my app. Deletion seems to only be available from the info screen for the individual media file. I touched the trash can to delete the file. It did correctly disappear from the file’s original location, but the app then froze. I had to go the home screen and then force a quit. Probably use to the fact that I was on the info screen for a file that no longer existed.
The best solution would probably be using the iOS swipe to make the red delete button appear on the screen that shows the list of episodes. That way the list could be updated after the deletion was confirmed, and the user wouldn’t be caught on a nonexistent screen.
Thanks so much for this very useful program.
I have noticed this too, started to happen in the second to last update for iOS. The newest update has sped it up to the point where it doesn’t freeze for me, but it is still slower than it used to be. I’m sure it will be worked on, hopefully they can comment
It’s fixed
