When trying to sync a movie with EAC3 audio ( which the iPad M4 supports ) my audio always gets transcoded to opus – the logs have a weird error :
Streaming Resource: Calculated bandwidth of 16075kbps exceeds bandwidth limit. Changing decision parameters provided by client to fit bandwidth limit of 8000kbps
Streaming Resource: Reducing playback quality for 7619kbps stream bitrate: video resolution to 1920x804, audio channels to 6, quality to 23, disable audio DS as 2147483647kbps is > the 399kbps available
The video 7619 is correct, but the 2147483647kbps is not right for the audio stream , even if i increase teh quality to high - it does the same thing - only if i do original it keeps the audio, but also keeps the video which is what i wanted to compress.
