iPad USB Storage not visible

I have an iPad thats running out of space and whilst Plex Media is available online i wanted to chuck a load of films on a USB stick and access them from the Player but i can only seem to access Camera Roll on local device.

Other than downloading everything over Plex to USB which i havent actually tried, is there any way to use Plex player to access this local storage though the Thunderbolt port. USB disk shows up in files and i can launch the films, but just wanted to use Plex to organise it instead.

You can use the download feature from within Plex. Though I don’t think it lets you select what storage to use for downloaded items.

Plex clients aren’t designed to pick up media from your local storage.

The player is not organizing media. That is the server’s job. Which is not running on your phone.

Looks like InFuse does exact;y what i need, just wish Plex could do this directly, although i can even add Plex to InFuse so this works well for me.
