I have this exact same problem, it’s infuriating.

It negates the whole live TV thing. A big part of the reason I’m on Plex. FOOTBALL.

So it’s a bug, not my system. Is Plex listening? This is a huge deal. Football season/live TV is probably half of my Plex motive. I run a completely separate server just for streaming live tv and transcoding. But it’s largely worthless now. FIX IT PLEX!

This is the kind of bugs that is infuriating. It makes me wonder if any of Plex team actually uses live stream / dvr/ recordings…

The same thing happens on Android version. Of all the things they should have tested, this is one at the top of my list. If recording i need the option to start from beginning or watch live. Simple as that.

I agree and IMO this is a HUGE oversight and it’s been this way since Feb. Doesn’t seem they care about it. Really disappointing.

This is super annoying – affecting me on Roku + Android too. I guess I need to cancel all my recordings?

Latest update for iOS and Android addresses those issues.

Update: iOS ver 2025.26.0 seemed to have fixed the issue. ver 2025.27.0 has taken it a step backwards.
