Ever since the new update, using the android app to watch live tv is terrible. My biggest gripe is when I’m recording a sporting event and I click on it in the live section. If I am recording it, it will take me to the beginning. If I click on another show and then go back to the recording show, it will start me from the beginning again. I try to go forward and it won’t let me skip forward to live. It just shows a black screen. I was able to skip forward using the skip feature by tapping but when a football game is several hours long, that’s a long time to skip forward.
Chiming in here to say the same thing is happening on the Server Version 1.43.0.10389 and iOS app 2025.30.0 (1388)
Unable to move forward in the timeline while recording and any change like changing channels and coming back, I am not presented with an option to watch live. Only start the recording from the beginning and unable to skip forward.
Workaround for me is to use the web app on the phone and that seems to work as expected.
I just noticed this today, when a football game I was recording wouldn’t let me jump to live or give me any option to get to live without jumping 10 seconds at a time which ALWAYS locks Plex up after X number of presses. There should always be an option to jump to live if it is a currently broadcasting recording.
