I know you need a Plex Pass to download the media player, but do you need an ongoing subscription to keep using media player? I would like to know before paying to download it.
Yes, since it doesn’t work unless you are logged in with a Pass enabled account.

The Plex Team NEVER discusses timelines, ETA’s or Road Maps… Best you can hope for, is sometime in the next 18 months or so, it’ll probably be ready for the masses.
