Since v7.0 was released straight to the stable channel, should we assume that the developers are no longer looking to release beta versions to the beta channel. Or was there something so secretive about v7 that it couldn’t go through beta testing?
I was thinking it might of been due to the podcast announcement even tho they don’t seem to be on the Android tv as yet.
I thought it had been quiet around here for awhile.
Seems the Android mobile app got a few UI changes - I wonder if that means there might be a few Android tv changes on the way?
7.0 is more or less the 6.18 beta with a new UI and podcast turned on, which we couldn’t share before hand.
Now that 7.0 is out in the open, betas will continue with the 7.x numbering.

I’m not seeing a new UI in 7.0.2…
The new UI is only for Mobile. The UI for Android TV has not been updated.

Maybe it is too much to ask.
But could you please ask devs to tune up buffer a bit.
It was the best till 6.12. I am whiling to beta test whatever possible and send as much logs as needed so that they could bring it to the same level as on 6.12.
Thank you in advance.

Off topic and really not clear. If you want to start a new thread and provide details, we can look into it.

He’ saying he believes the client buffer is too small. Personally I haven’t seen this issue since around 6.18. I raised logs at the time and got no response.

Not to beat a dead horse but you may want to reconsider this approach in the future. I assume you didn’t want to share it because it was new and wanted a “big release.” Perhaps making the announcement beforehand and going through a more rigorous testing phase would work better… similar to say how iOS updates are announced than publicly tested.
