Is it possible to correct EPG Settings (Sorting EPG Informations to EPG)?

Hello,

i test Plex DVR Support parallel to my existing Mediaportal Environment. For this I buy an Plex Pass to test this awesome feature.

What I now tested very cool and I want to delete my Mediaportal Environment and want to move complete to Plex.

But I have a little bit problems with the DVR/EPG.

I scan manually and found all the channels, and sort the EPG to the Channels, that I found. But some Channels has no EPG, if I take a look at the Channellist of my Cableprovider, I can see that all the Channel thats above S25 are have no EPG Information hat, that I can sort to the Channel:

Channels of my Provider above S25:

But no EPG to Channels above S25:

My Question, is it possible to edit the Settings (maximum Channel for EPG to to e.g. S38) or is there an other Way to add the EPG?

The Problem is, that Channel is the most important Channel - KIKA HD (Kinder Kanal, means Children Channel!)

It would be so cool, if someone can help me :).

I have seen some support for XMLTV EPG so you can use like zap2it or mc2xml and import to the EPG.

Thanks a lot for your fast help, MC2XML looks good, but for this I have to get the complete EPG and then Sort it to the Channels.

With the build in EPG I have 99% EPG complete, problem is that the 1% is the important Channel.

Is there an other Way?

Thanks a lot for all you help and hints :).

Maybe XMLTV is an Option too with Data from epgdata.com - can someone tell me where I have to store the File under a Windows based Plexserver?

Thanks a lot.

Also with MC2XML I believe it is the -C flag you can throw and specify only specific channels you want it to include so you can have a custom EPG for the channels you are interested in instead of pages of junk…

-C set channel file (default = “mc2xml.chl”)

Thanks a lot for your fast help. The link above sounds hard but interesting. I will try booth.

Cool, in the XMLTV File from mc2xml I see that KIKA has Channel ID 58, so I create a mc2xml.chl with 58, delete old XML File and grab again. Now I have only EPG for KIKA, will now try to Match it with the Link above :).

@pleibling Why not use simply a different lineup? I use “Telekom Deutschland GmbH (DTH) - Digital” and have more or less all german channels in this lineup. If you miss some channels, inform Plex with this form: https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/281569/reporting-gracenote-epg-data-issues#latest

@PLEXIP: Wow, this sounds cool, I will try if this works. On the first view there are a lot of Channels, I will check if this have all needed Channels, if yes - then it looks like the simplest Way to solve my Problem.

Will give Feedback.

Thank you so much to booth, the helps me so fast.

@PLEXIP: Wow, works well, now I got EPG for all my needed Channels, will sort the rest Channels in the next Few days. Thanks a lot for the helpful Tip.

@NOKIM: Thanks for your Support too :).

Its very Cool that the recordings can directly sort in specific Library, so I can create specific Library for use (Parents) ant the Kids, Kids have own Profiles (Home-Configuration) with her own Library.

The EPG looks very beatyfull.

Thanks a lot to the Plex Team (is there a Way/Post to thank them for specific functions?)…
