I have a rather large video library. Creating video preview thumbnails would take a long time and occupy a lot of space. Just wondering if there is any way to enable this on individual videos.
As an example, suppose I know that I plan to watch a list of 5 movies in the coming days. Any way I can simply enable this feature on those 5 movies so that the preview thumbnails will be ready for me when I sit down to watch?
There isn’t a way to do this exactly but there might be a work around. Set your server to generate the previews “as a scheduled task and when media is added”. Then set your scheduled tasks to start and stop at the same time, so it won’t actually run.
Add your files and they should generate. When you want to let the schedules tasks run, turn off the option to generate previews.
