Is it possible to have an item show up more than once in a playlist?

Back in my iTunes days I would often make music playlists that, for one reason or another, have the same track show up more than once. However I can’t get that to work in Plex. I’ve tried adding a track to a playlist more than once, but it only ever appears in the playlist one time. There doesn’t seem to be any way of copying an item in a playlist. I’ve also tried holding the option / alt key while dragging.

Is it a limitation of playlists in Plex that they can’t have duplicate tracks?

Plex Playlists are not designed that way. There’s no way to add the same item more than once.

Oh well, that’s too bad. Perhaps I’ll put in a feature request to improve playlists a bit. They feel bare-bones in comparison to what you can do in other music library managers like iTunes.

There haven’t been many, if any, changes to Playlists since their introduction, so they’re kind of in a ‘version 1.0’ state. Feature requests are definitely welcome.
