Is it possible to LIVESTREAM direct to PLEX?

For example, our group livestreams to YouTube. Instead, could we simply stream direct to our Plex server?

there have been similar requests to live stream web/security cams, etc.

while a nice idea, nothing like that is supported by plex.

you can of course save the streams to a plex library folder, then watch them in a non-live fashion.

Hi infoXCM,
the closest feature request I found is a more general one:

But I don’t think it’s useful to open another feature request as this is not close to what Plex is currently doing. If you like experimenting you could try writing a continuous video file and see if Plex can deal with not having a fixed end, though I think even that is pretty much futile.

the only possible way I could see this ever happening, is some kind of custom fake ‘dvr’ (like xteve perhaps?) that can handle the live stream input and redirect to a plex livetv/dvr format, which could then be streamed by regular plex clients.

you would probably also have to create some kind of fake guide data and channel infrastructure.

but again, none of that would be supported by plex, so even if it worked, there is no guarantee it would continue to work.
