I have a ton of television documentaries in my library, but for many of the series (ie. American Experience, 48 Hours, Dateline, etc), the episodes are rarely related. I’d like to add specific genre/collection tags to the individual episodes, but it looks like that can only be done at the series level. This makes it extremely difficult to find specific episodes, and has forced me to move these out of a television library and mark these as personal media so that I can tag each episode correctly. Unfortunately, this means I also lose all the metadata associated with the episodes. Is there any way around this?

I would add that this would also be useful for finding episodes that have a certain reoccurring character, or are part of a certain plot arc. I’d love to see something where I can add some sort of tag/actor/whatever to make finding episodes easier. I know sometimes people will want to watch one of the episodes with their favorite reoccurring character/guest star in it for example.
I don’t think Plex currently has this capability. A moderator should move this thread into the Feature Voting Forum so people can vote for it.
