Is it safe to use "adoptive storage" feature when using PMS with Shield TV?

Server Version#: latest
Player Version#: latest

In 2017 or 2018 when Shield TV was updated and got the feature to have external storage as ‘adoptive storage’, I used the feature to expand the storage of my 16GB Shield TV.

However, when I rebooted Shield TV, the only PMS it detects was ‘localhost’ and the only I could do was to rebuild my server from scratch.
Then, when I rebooted, the new server was gone and again I got ‘localhost’.

In this topic, Nvidia Shield Plex Server vanishing it seems like the problem is solved, but I am kinda afraid of it.
Is it safe now to add an adaoptive storage and run PMS with it?
Or should I add an external storage only as ‘removable’ and move PMS to the removable storage?

Is there any reason you want to do this? Are there things not working properly? I’m asking this since I tend to use all features, just to see how it works, Well I did use my attached storage the way you described. Wish I hadn’t done that. Since from that time on it was exclusively (the do warn you for that) a part of Shield. I missed the flexibility and at a certain time I had to reset the whole Shield (16Gb version) and would have lost all of my media if I didn’t have a backup of it on my NAS. Never again. Happy with the way it works right now.
