Is Plex going to ever properly address multi-story episodes of TV shows

It’s been years. I don’t understand why it’s still broken, but the implementation of multi-story episodes is absolute trash.

If I have a show called SHOW, and episode 1 of season 1 contains two stories, then the file that I would use would look like “SHOW.S01E01”. The scrapers that are attached to Plex would format the exact same file like this “SHOW.S01E01E02” for no other reason than to mess things up. But even WORSE is that Plex will take that new “SHOW.S01E01E02” and then repeat the episodes so that if you watch SHOW.S01E01 and watch both stories in the episode, Plex immediately launches into the EXACT SAME episode.

Can we please get Plex to ignore “duplicate files as new episode names” or something like that, since it seems that neither Plex nor TVDB have any interest in properly naming these files? Honestly, if I could just check a box so that a single file can only create one single episode entry inside of a show, and if Plex could recognize that when a filename says E01E02 on the same file to just combine metadata for that file into a single entry into the show, that would fix 90% of it.

Thanks
