Is Plex IP banning my network? Out of ideas, need help

Server Version#: 1.40.1.8227
Player Version#: N/A

I’ll keep this one short since my other post has more detail but may not be related to the actual problem. I’ve been having issues with my unraid Plex server ever since resetting my password. Was unable to claim it and kept trying. I tried posting on here but whenever I would press the login button in the top right when on “forums.plex.tv” I would get a error “NET:ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID” before even loading the login page. This happens to multiple devices on my network and the only way I found around it was to turn of Wi-Fi on my phone and use data, plus clear browser data. The other strange thing is trying to browse Plex downloads (I was going to try installing plex on a Windows PC to rule out my Unraid server being the issue) I get a “Something went wrong” error on the downloads page. This also goes away when using mobile data.

The only thing I can think of is maybe my repeated attempts to claim my plex server got my IP blacklisted or something similar, because I’ve tried many things to claim, even getting a claim token to no avail. Here’s a link to my other post with more info about the server issue but I think I need Plex staff to check my account/IP because I can’t get anything to work:

Nothing has changed with my home network and I’m not using VPNs on my devices so I’m not sure what else could be going on. I also can’t email support for technical support (according to the site) so this is the best place I could think to ask for help with this. Much appreciated if anyone can help.

Have you tried changing DNS to something like Google’s or Cloudflare’s ?

I just tried changing my router DNS to both googles DNS servers (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4). I also tried changing it in Unraid as well. It seems I can now access forums.plex.tv login page and plex media server downloads on my devices that previously could not. So that seems like an improvement. I still can’t claim my server from my Plex docker. I will try to reinstall a fresh docker (and remove appdata folder) and see if anything works this time.

I will also try installing Plex media server on a windows PC to see if maybe it’s specific to my Unraid or docker, or with my Plex account

Wow this finally solved my problem. I’m not sure what happened to cause all these issues related to Plex only with my original DNS, but I’m on Google DNS now and was finally able to claim my server after over a week of trying. So thankful for the help!
