Is there a limitation on the photo size to be shown in plex clients? I get “unable to load photo” on some larger > 100MB TIFF photo’s. The message is not related to the TIFF format or resolution as smaller Tiff files and JPEG with the same resolution are shown correctly.
If so why are smaller thumbnails not shown, preferrbly with a message that the photo cannot be full screen? I suspect there are thumbnails of these larger files as the photo tagging feature shows related photo’s and the photo’s are shown in the tag results?

So ‘pombeirp’ did this ever get resolved? It seems not, as I just uploaded a bunch of TIFF files and it appears that every file over the 100MB size shows as “unable to load photo” - would be nice to see this lifted.
“In the PMS logs, there’s this entry:
Dec 07, 2016 21:35:37.065 [27408] ERROR - File requested for photo transcode is over maximum size of 104857600 bytes, refusing to transcode
So there seems to be a maximum limit of ~100MB per photo. I’ll discuss with the PMS team”___
I am also running into this issue on PlexPass 1.16.3.1402 with JPEG from a 5DmkIV. These range from 16-27MB.
