Is there a way to avoid movie sets?

Hello,

For testing purposes,

The number of movies detect was not correct, It appears that some movies were “glued” together in a movie set, although their *.nfo contained different info.

So my question(s)

  • is there a way to avoid movie sets?
  • when two ore more movies are put in the same set, is there a way to split them again?

kind regards,
B

You could use the split apart feature - https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/201018248-Merge-or-Split-Items

@Peter_W thanx for response.
I was more looking for a solution that this pocess can be automated (or avoided by using the right settings).

Can the split be automated?

@OttoKerner : can you please open the other post https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/214403/xbmcnfomoviesimporter-why-does-my-agent-put-different-movies-in-a-movie-set

As here I’m asking how to avoid a split, in the xbmcnfomoviesimporter I am asking why it happens. These are 2 different use cases (but you’re right, they happend on the same setup)

thanx for this.

You are asking the same Q in here. That’s why I saw it as a duplicate.

ok, my fault.
I modified my original. Thanx for opening the other post.

extra question to the original question: can I filter my movies that are merged? From the count of my movies, I know that there are still 2 movies that are merged, but I can not find them manually… :frowning:

there is a filter for duplicates

ok, found that one. https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/202393718-How-do-I-find-duplicate-or-merged-content-
I wasn’t aware of this, thanx for tip @OttoKerner !

So I have my problem resolved now, but is there any way to avoid it? Is there somewere a setting that probits Plex to merge movies?

Your movies must be named in a way which doesn’t trigger PMS to see them as either
Stacked or [multiple “Versions”](https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200381043-Multi-Version-Movies “multiple “Versions””).

In other words, using the XBMC .nfo importer agent unfortunately doesn’t save you from naming your movie files according to Plex rules.
