Is there a way to edit recordings?

Is there a way to edit DVR recordings (or any other video, for that matter)?

Or just set IN/OUT points to avoid commercials?

I could put them into Quicktime player and resave trimmed clips, but a feature to simply set IN/OUT points would be great.

Plex does not have functionality to modify recordings.

You can use a 3rd party post processing script to mark them or cut them out if you want.

I use mcebuddy since I am running Windows. You can put together a similar process using Comskip, ffmpeg, and Handbrake if you want this ability. Have seen other threads on forum discussing post processing on other platforms.
