i started looking for a way to audit my TV show library to look for missing episodes or seasons of shows.
What i’m looking for is something to scan my library and say “hey you only have episodes 1,2,4,5,6” where is episode 3? if you know what i mean?
i found something called WebTools but that doesent seem to help, and also i found a utility called “findmissing” which i assumed would do what i wanted but only says “all is good…no files are missing” when i know for a fact i have a fair few files missing.
has anyone else got any other suggestions?
the reason for this is because i had a HDD failure and lost about 20% of my tv shows and i have no idea which ones were lost without checking every single folder and series one at a time.
i currently use Tiny Media manager to rename and sort all my files for plex, its a godsend!
but i had to recover my hard drive, 7tb and it was full, only managed to recover around 5tb so i have a lot of random episodes and series which are completely missing (as in the physical file has been deleted) . it would be a nightmare for me to track them down.
i will take a look at filebot see what that does, is it similar to tiny media manager?
