The title pretty much sums it up. Is there any way for me to see when was the last time anyone watched a particular movie? I don’t need to know who watched it last, just if it has been viewed recently and when.
For instance: I have all 3 “Back to the Future” movies. Can I see when the last time was that any one of those were viewed?
I run Tautulli to monitor my Plex server for this very reason. Shows loads of useful info once it has built up history so I can tell when films have never been watched, watched by everone who uses the server, etc.
That might be useful in the future, but, right now, I just need to know if and when specific movies were viewed in the past. I burned specific movies for people to watch but don’t have any “quick” way to ask the if they’ve watched them. I am now out of storage space and want to burn other movies but I don’t want to delete old stuff that my brother asked for. I can email him but that can take weeks for him to check due to his current situation. I’m just trying to figure out what has already been watched by the people who asked me to burn it to the HD. I have a LOT of DVDs and I have a lot of family stationed overseas. I just don’t want to delete stuff they asked for if they haven’t watched it yet. I used to just use the “marker” in the corner but sometimes the check if something works where they are but don’t actually watch the entire video. The marker goes away. I deleted it thinking they have seen it. I have all of these movies on my hard drive, requested by remote family members who may not be able to “timely” respond as to whether they are done with the movie. I want to delete the ones I know people have seen so I can burn ones that other people want to see.
Is there some way to look at the logs and see who has watched what?
In Plex Web you can go to the library with the movie and then change the sort option to “Date Viewed”. It will tell you approximately when each movie was last viewed. If you need to know the exact date/time, you can view the XML for any movie and in there will be a “LastViewed” value in Epoch time.
